Studio Policies
A one-time $40 Book and Supply Fee will be charged when starting private or parented lessons. This fee will cover the cost of your book(s) and a “Practice Kit” that includes stationery and music practicing tools to assist in engaging students in building at home practicing routines. This kit will be used both during lessons and at home. If you are a family booking multiple children, this fee would remain the same if each child wants their own kit, or whether there is room for sharing the kit to assist in reducing this cost to one in addition to the books required.
Private and parented lessons will be paid in full on a month-to-month basis in cash or e-transfer, with payment being received prior to the next months lessons beginning or your time slot will be canceled until the monthly payment has been received. The studio will not offer refunds or reschedule unless it is the instructor herself that needs to cancel and reschedule. Family Classes are to be paid ahead of time via e-transfer or with cash upon arrival. E-transfers can be made to weeonesmusicstudio@gmail.com with a note for the recipient specifying the first and last name of the student the payment is intended for.
There is a certain level of risk when attending lessons and classes in a home based studio setting. The instructor will do her best to provide a safe studio space, instruments and supplies for customers, but ultimately the responsibility of your children falls onto parents/guardians. Instruments and supplies tend to need replacing frequently due to the nature of studio use and we ask that you inform the instructor immediately if you notice anything in disrepair and keep a watchful eye on the youngest of students in regards to what you deem as safe for their age.
We ask that a parent/guardian stays in the studio space for the duration of ALL lessons and classes. Students of any age will feel more comfortable, you will have a better understanding of what students are currently working on, and you have the opportunity to observe their progress. Parent/guardians are responsible for their children at ALL times.
This home based studio shares its space with the family cat named Willow. She is a shy senior cat that you will rarely see. We do our absolute best to keep the studio space as clean as possible. There is an air purifier that can be used for any allergen concerns as well as yoga mats to cover your carpet space if desired. We kindly ask for your assistance in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and being aware of both household members AND possible customer allergies by refraining from bringing food into the studio.
